Case Notes
This 23-year-old male presented with bilateral gynecomastia, a condition characterized by excess breast tissue in men. He underwent gynecomastia surgery to remove excess glandular tissue and create a flatter, more masculine chest contour. Male breast enlargement can affect confidence and body image, particularly when excess tissue remains noticeable through clothing or during physical activity.
During this gynecomastia correction surgery, the chest was carefully marked to evaluate the existing anatomy and establish the desired surgical approach. Small incisions were made along the lower border of each areola, allowing the surgeon to directly access and excise the excess glandular breast tissue. The surrounding tissue was carefully preserved to support proper healing and maintain a natural chest contour.
After the excess tissue was removed from both sides, the patient was positioned upright to evaluate chest symmetry and overall contour. The incisions were then closed in layers, and a compression garment was placed to support the treated area during recovery.
The gynecomastia before and after results demonstrate a significant improvement in chest contour, with a flatter and more balanced appearance. Every patient has unique anatomy, and results from male breast reduction surgery will vary.
