Case Notes
This before-and-after highlights a comprehensive facial and neck rejuvenation performed by Claudia Kim, DO, for a 64-year-old male experiencing excess eyelid skin, facial volume loss, jowling, loose neck skin, and platysmal muscle laxity. His customized surgical plan combined upper and lower blepharoplasty, autologous facial fat grafting, a facelift, and a neck lift with platysmaplasty.
During the upper and lower blepharoplasty, excess upper-eyelid skin and selected lower-eyelid fat were carefully removed to create a more rested appearance while preserving the patient’s natural character. Facial fat grafting was then used to restore volume to the temples, under-eye region, and mid-to-lower face.
The facelift addressed the deeper facial tissues, jowls, and jawline. At the same time, the neck lift treated loose skin, excess fat beneath the chin, and separation of the platysma muscles. A corset-style platysmaplasty tightened and supported the central neck, while additional suspension improved definition along the jawline and neck. Excess skin was conservatively removed for a smoother, natural-looking contour.
This combined facelift and neck lift approach was designed to create balanced rejuvenation across the eyes, face, jawline, and neck. The postoperative photographs show a refreshed eye area, restored facial volume, reduced jowling, and improved neck definition.
The procedure was completed without complications, and the patient entered recovery in stable condition. Individual results and recovery experiences vary. A personal consultation is required to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
